Spherical Roller Bearings are designed to work in applications where severe misalignment exists whether from mounting or shaft deflection and with relatively heavy radial loads and some axial loads in either direction. These bearings are also extremely resistant to shock loads and their self-alignment feature allows full capacity despite shaft deflection. They are very similar in purpose to Self-alignment Double Row Ball Bearings, except the Spherical Roller Bearings are designed to be more robust by carrying heavier loads but at lower maximum speeds.

CCAS's spherical roller bearings are available with oil groove and holes in the outer ring for ease of relubrication. Optional inner ring oil groove and holes are also available. CCAS offers a variety of sealing materials for different operating temperatures. The cage is available in brass, steel, and polyamide.
